Kenya Catholic Lawyers Association holds inaugural Red Mass

The Kenya Catholic Lawyers Association (KCLA) held its inaugural Red Mass at the Holy Family Minor Basilica, where members were called to uphold integrity, accountability, and justice in their professional duties.

During the event, Bishop Henry Juma of the Catholic Diocese of Kitale emphasized that the legal profession is a vocation rooted in truth and service, noting that legal decisions significantly impact the dignity of individuals and communities. He encouraged practitioners to be guided by conscience and moral courage, drawing inspiration from St. Thomas More.

Very Rev. Jude Waweru, General Secretary of the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB), also addressed the assembly, urging lawyers to remain united and adhere to ethical standards to serve a society in need of justice. The gathering included judges, High Court officers, and representatives from the Law Society of Kenya.
