Kenya Deputy President Kindiki outlines equitable development agenda
Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has announced that the Kenyan government is accelerating development projects nationwide under an equitable transformation agenda. The initiative aims to uplift all citizens and eliminate historical discrimination against specific regions.
During an inspection of projects in Gatundu North Constituency, Kiambu County, Kindiki noted that development efforts seen in Central Kenya are being replicated in other areas, such as Meru and the Coastal region. He emphasized that the administration is working to correct past inadequacies in infrastructure and regional growth.
Specific projects highlighted include the revival of the 67-kilometre Thika–Magumu Road, which has been allocated 3.4 billion shillings. Additionally, the constituency is benefiting from affordable housing and modern market programs, including the Kanyoni ESP Market and Gatukuyu Market.
