Kenya Deputy President Kindiki urges regulator coordination and vows to curb Kitui banditry

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki addressed the 3rd Annual Regulatory Authorities and Agencies Conference, calling on Kenya’s 127 regulatory bodies to improve coordination, speed and transparency. He warned that weak or duplicated regulation harms the government’s credibility and emphasized that regulators must deliver visible, consistent service in line with the Constitution.

Kindiki also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to end banditry in Kitui County after recent clashes in Mwingi. He promised a lasting solution to the attacks and pledged stronger action to restore peace for residents affected by the violence.
