Kenya elected to ISO Council for 2027–2031 term

Kenya has been elected to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Council for the 2027–2031 term. Represented by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS), the country secured its position during the ISO Annual Meeting in Paris.

Director General Esther Ngari led the Kenyan delegation in the election, which was contested by five countries for positions under Group 4. The seat allows Kenya to participate in the strategic direction and decision-making processes regarding global international standards and conformity assessment for the next four years.
