Kenya law enforcement officials join global anti-drug summit in Argentina

Kenya’s Director of Criminal Investigations, Mohamed Amin, and Samwel Laboso of the National Anti-Narcotics Investigations Bureau are attending the 40th International Drug Enforcement Conference (IDEC) in Argentina. The high-level meeting aims to strengthen alliances between global law enforcement agencies to combat sophisticated transnational drug syndicates.

Kenya is utilizing the conference to deepen links with international agencies, focusing on intelligence sharing and coordinated investigations to dismantle trafficking networks and disrupt the financial proceeds of the narcotics trade. This participation aligns with President William Ruto’s directive to enhance national responses to narcotics through increased inter-agency and international cooperation.
