Kenya military emphasizes leadership and discipline in training

The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) and the National Defence University-Kenya (NDU-K) are emphasizing discipline, leadership, and professional excellence through recent training and matriculation ceremonies.

Defence Forces Sergeant Major Bwana Haji Omar recently engaged with service members at the Kenya Naval Training College and 15 Kenya Rifles in Mariakani. During these sessions, he stressed the importance of integrity, teamwork, and respect for the chain of command, noting that these values are essential for mission readiness and responding to security challenges.

Simultaneously, NDU-K held a matriculation ceremony in Nakuru for the latest intake of Kenya Military Academy cadets and the Defence College of Health Sciences. Vice-Chancellor Lieutenant General David Tarus addressed the new students, urging them to combine technical knowledge with accountability and sound judgment to prepare for their future roles in national development.
