Kenya Ministry of Defence strengthens public asset management capacity

The Kenya Ministry of Defence has enhanced its capacity in managing public assets and liabilities through a sensitization programme conducted by the National Treasury. The initiative was designed for members of the Ministry’s Assets Management Standing Committee to strengthen accountability and ensure the prudent use of public resources.

Hosted by Secretary Administration Isaac Masinde, the programme was facilitated by National Treasury officials led by Geoffrey Malombe, Director of the National Assets and Liabilities Management Department. The training aimed to align the Ministry’s internal systems and practices with national standards and established guidelines to improve service delivery and institutional oversight.
