Kenya Navy Hospital launches blood donation drive in Mombasa

The Kenya Navy Hospital, in collaboration with the Regional Blood Transfusion Centre (RBTC), has launched a week-long blood donation drive across Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) units in Mombasa.

The initiative aims to strengthen national blood reserves, support transfusion requirements, and improve preparedness for medical emergencies, surgical procedures, and accidents. By mobilizing KDF personnel, the drive seeks to promote a culture of voluntary donation and raise awareness regarding the impact of regular blood contributions on patients and communities.

This partnership between military medical facilities and the RBTC is intended to complement the broader national healthcare system, ensuring that safe blood is available for both routine and emergency medical needs.
