Kenya police investigate murders in Kiambu and Kisumu counties

Police in Kenya opened investigations after several bodies were discovered in different locations. In Kiambu County, an unidentified African male, estimated to be about 20 years old, was found dumped on a service road along the Nairobi–Naivasha Highway near Tarabana Junction with multiple injuries to his limbs, ears and head. The body was later moved to Tigoni Sub‑County Hospital mortuary pending identification. At the same time, the corpse of a 30‑year‑old man was recovered from a drainage ditch in Juja Sub‑County.

In Kisumu County, a teenage boy, roughly 16, was found dead on a road in Lower Kakumu Village after a commotion broke out during a funeral night vigil. He had a swollen head and bleeding from the nose and mouth. Both incidents prompted response from local police, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations and forensic teams, and officers appealed for public information to aid identification and determine the causes of death.
