Kenya police investigate two separate fatal incidents
Police in Tana River County have arrested a father and son following a shooting in the Wolesorea area that left two men dead. The victims, Hussein Sheikh Billow and Maulid Yussuf Dayib, were reportedly searching for missing camels after receiving a phone call from an individual claiming to have the animals and demanding money. Dayib was found with gunshot wounds to the chest and was pronounced dead upon arrival at Bura Sub-County Hospital.
In a separate incident in Borabu, authorities are investigating the lynching of two men, Samson Ogamba and Stephen Tagiti, in Nyansiongo Village. The men were reportedly apprehended by a mob following an alleged land sale dispute. One victim sustained multiple sharp-force injuries, while the other was burnt beyond recognition along with a motor vehicle. Police have urged the public to refrain from mob justice as investigations continue.
