Kenya Power announces scheduled outages in several counties

Kenya Power has announced scheduled electricity interruptions affecting multiple counties. On Monday, October 5, outages are expected in Nairobi, Kericho, Uasin Gishu, Nyeri, and Embu counties.

In Nairobi, areas such as Kosovo, Shofco, Utalii, and parts of Kitsuru including Gachie and Rosslyn will experience interruptions from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Kericho County will see similar timing for areas including Greenview Hospital and various tea factories. In Uasin Gishu, a shorter outage is scheduled from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. affecting Kong’nyalil and Uswo Village.

Embu County is set to experience the longest outage window, running from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. across several locations including Makutano and Mukuuri. Additionally, the company has issued a warning regarding its customer care account on X, which was reportedly compromised.
