Kenyan leaders signal support for Edwin Sifuna in 2027 election bids

Political leaders in Kenya are signaling potential support for Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna regarding the 2027 General Election. Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka stated he is prepared to support Sifuna if he is selected as the opposition flagbearer, emphasizing that opposition unity is essential to defeating President William Ruto. In a separate development, Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) Secretary-General Cleophas Malala declared his allegiance to Sifuna's presidential bid during a rally in Kakamega County. Malala claimed that Gachagua is ready to collaborate with Sifuna to bolster his candidacy. Malala emphasized the necessity of building alliances outside the Luhya community to ensure Sifuna's success.
