Kenyan police probe murders and suspected unsafe abortion in Kwale and Molo
Police in Kwale County are investigating the murder of 66‑year‑old Mbodze Nyamawi Njamo, whose body was discovered on a farm with multiple cut wounds to the neck, ear and hands. The motive remains unknown and detectives are seeking the assailants.
In Molo Sub‑County, Nakuru County, authorities found the body of 30‑year‑old Salome Chelagat in a rental house. Preliminary evidence points to a suspected unsafe abortion after a foetus and blood stains were located at the scene. An autopsy has been ordered to confirm the cause of death. This follows a similar incident reported a week earlier in Kiambu.
Both cases are under active police investigation, highlighting rising concerns over violent crime and unsafe abortion practices in Kenya.
