Kenyan police probe murders of woman in Kisii and doctor in Kitengela
Detectives in Kenya are investigating two separate homicide cases. In Kisii South Sub‑County, 50‑year‑old Norah Bitengo Morema was found dead at her home with head injuries and a broken leg. Police say she had argued with her son the night before over a missing axe, and the son is now a key suspect as authorities seek to locate him.
In a separate case, a Nairobi magistrate court authorised the detention of Beatrice Wangari for ten days after the death of 79‑year‑old retired doctor Job Obwaka at Wangari’s residence in Kitengela. Police suspect poisoning and have collected utensils, medication and partially consumed wine for forensic testing. A post‑mortem and toxicology analysis are pending.
Both investigations remain ongoing, with police urging the public for information.
