Global political shifts: Government formation in Morocco and Senate re-election in France

Various nations are undergoing significant political transitions and legislative activities. In Morocco, designated head of government Fatima Zahra El Mansouri is conducting consultations to form a new executive. Discussions with political leaders, such as Mohamed Joudar of the Constitutional Union, have focused on employment, education, health, and infrastructure projects related to the 2030 World Cup.

In France, Gérard Larcher has been re-elected as President of the Senate for a sixth term. His new mandate, running until 2029, follows elections that saw the rise of the National Rally (RN) as a significant presence in the upper house.

In Kenya, the National Assembly has resumed sessions to address critical education reform bills and prepare the 2027/2028 Budget ahead of the upcoming general elections. Meanwhile, in Tunisia, the Assembly of the Representatives of the People (ARP) has resumed its work, with the bureau reviewing preparations for the 2026-2027 parliamentary session and addressing numerous written questions from deputies.
