Kenya's Wiper Patriotic Front Names New Chairman and Leadership Team

Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka announced a reshuffle of the party's top positions ahead of the 2027 General Election. Former Kigumo MP Jamleck Irungu Kamau was appointed chairman, while Ambassador Siyat Osman Ibrahim became deputy chairperson. Nyali MP Mohamed Ali was named deputy party leader designate, and lawyer Ndegwa Njiru was installed as the party's first spokesperson, a newly created office.

The appointments are presented as a move to strengthen the party's structure and present a united alternative government. The Wiper Patriotic Front, rebranded from the Wiper Democratic Movement–Kenya in 2025, seeks to position itself as a credible opposition force in the upcoming electoral cycle.
