Keolis and Sécurité routière launch blind spot awareness campaign

Keolis and Sécurité routière have launched a new awareness campaign titled “Et comme ça, on a votre attention ?” to highlight the dangers of bus blind spots. The initiative aims to encourage pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers to remain vigilant and avoid distractions, such as mobile phone use, when near large public transport vehicles.

Frédéric Van Heems, president of Keolis, noted that drivers are not at fault in more than 90% of accidents, emphasizing that risks often arise when road users approach vehicles too closely without looking. The campaign uses eye-catching, unconventional imagery, including a bus covered in pink fur and multicolored neon lights, to grab public attention.

The campaign will be deployed this autumn across all networks operated by Keolis in France, including major areas such as Île-de-France, Lyon, Rennes, Bordeaux, and Tours. The operation is supported by Île-de-France Mobilités and includes educational outreach through Anateep to teach students how to navigate public transport safely.
