Keonjhar Miners join inaugural Odisha T20 League

The inaugural Odisha T20 League – CM Trophy is scheduled to begin this Sunday at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. The tournament features six teams: the Keonjhar Miners, Bhubaneswar Tigers, Kataka Panthers, Puri Titans, Rourkela Superstars, and Sambalpur Warriors.

Manish Khemmka, owner of the Keonjhar Miners, stated that the franchise aims to establish a strong regional identity and provide a professional platform for young talent from Keonjhar and other districts across Odisha. The franchise intends to focus on long-term community engagement, including grassroots initiatives such as talent identification camps, coaching programs, and local school partnerships, to create a lasting sporting legacy beyond the tournament itself.
