Kepez hosts 2nd International Health and Wellbeing in Aging Festival

The 2nd International Health and Wellbeing in Aging Festival has commenced at Dokumapark, organized by the Kepez Municipality in Antalya. Under the theme ‘From a Lifetime to a Future,’ the event aims to promote active aging and demonstrate that growing older involves contributing to life through experience and energy.

The festival opened with a parade and musical performances by Leyla Bayramogullari and Katrina Penman. During the opening ceremony, Professor Dr. Ismail Tufan highlighted the event's growing role as both a platform for knowledge exchange and a social celebration.

A significant development this year is the first meeting of the ‘Age-Friendly Kepez’ International Advisory Board. The board includes scientists from various nations, including Singapore, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, Taiwan, China, the United States, Italy, and Northern Cyprus. The presence of guests from Russia and Ukraine was also noted as a symbol of international friendship.
