Kepez Municipality initiates participatory model for Antalya's Dokuma 2. Etap

Kepez Mayor Mesut Kocagöz has launched a participatory management model to determine the future of the Dokuma 2. Etap area in central Antalya, which has remained idle for years. The initiative utilizes a “collective intelligence” approach, bringing together professional chambers, non-governmental organizations, city councils, political party representatives, and the business community before the project design phase begins.

The project aims to transform the site into a public space that serves the social, cultural, and economic needs of Antalya rather than focusing solely on construction. Future steps include gathering direct feedback from local residents through surveys to ensure the area meets the community's requirements. The goal is to create a sustainable urban space that enhances the value of the Kepez district and serves as a model for local governance and transparent urban planning.
