Kepez Municipality Invests 250 Million Lira in New Vehicle Fleet
Kepez Municipality announced the acquisition of 37 new vehicles and heavy‑machinery units, costing a total of 250 million Turkish lira. The purchase, presented by Mayor Mesut Kocagöz, includes 16 excavators, five heavy‑combined support vehicles and 16 service, cleaning and passenger cars, all intended to enhance the district’s road work, infrastructure, cleaning and park maintenance.
The fleet was financed entirely from the municipality’s own resources without any external borrowing. Kocagöz highlighted that the investment follows a period of strict fiscal discipline that eliminated a prior debt of 1.266 billion lira, leaving the municipality debt‑free and better positioned to serve its residents.
