Kepler Weber positioned to benefit from Brazil grain storage deficit

Itaú BBA identifies Brazil’s structural deficit in grain storage capacity as a primary long-term growth driver for Kepler Weber (KEPL3). Following a visit to the company’s industrial operations in Campo Grande, analysts noted that while grain production has surged due to agricultural expansion in the Cerrado and frontier regions, logistical infrastructure investments have not kept pace, worsening storage shortages.

In the short term, however, the sector faces pressure from tight producer margins and high debt levels. Due to financial constraints, farmers are prioritizing spending on inputs, equipment, and land over storage, irrigation, and logistics. Consequently, a recovery in demand for storage solutions is expected to be gradual as rural profitability recovers from high interest rates and cost volatility.

Kepler Weber is currently focusing on cost reduction, efficiency gains, and internal adjustments to prepare for a potential market rebound. The company is also increasing investments in research and development for technology and automation, with recent product launches already accounting for 19% of consolidated revenue.
