Kera Ike Skating Rink announces 10th anniversary celebrations

The Kera Ike Skating Rink in the Karuizawa Hoshino Area is celebrating its 10th anniversary with special offers for residents of Nagano Prefecture. To mark the milestone, the rink will offer free admission, including skate rentals, to Nagano residents on October 30 and 31, 2026.

Following the free period, special discounted rates will be available for Nagano residents from November 1 through November 20, 2026. The outdoor rink, which opens one of the earliest in the country, allows visitors to skate amidst the autumn foliage of the Karuizawa forest. The ice transitions from artificial cooling in the early season to natural ice as winter deepens.
