Kerala Blasters defeat Inter Kashi 2-0 in ISL season opener

Kerala Blasters FC opened their Indian Super League (ISL) 2026-27 campaign with a 2-0 victory against Inter Kashi FC at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune on Sunday, October 11, 2026.

Vibin Mohanan scored the opening goal in the 18th minute following an assist from Korou Singh. Andre Green secured the win with a goal in stoppage time. Despite efforts from Inter Kashi, including attempts by Manvir Singh and Ayush Chhikara, the Blasters' defense and goalkeeper Arsh Shaikh maintained the lead.

The match featured a contrast in squad composition, as Inter Kashi fielded an all-Indian roster due to a FIFA transfer-registration ban, while Kerala Blasters utilized a revamped squad under head coach Ashley Westwood that included several new overseas signings.
