Al Fursan acquires Kerala Blasters FC from Magnum Sports

UAE-based sports and sports-tech consortium Al Fursan has signed a definitive agreement to acquire 100 per cent ownership of Indian Super League (ISL) club Kerala Blasters FC from Magnum Sports Private Ltd. The acquisition, reportedly valued between ₹100–120 crore, will be completed in phases over approximately eight months, with the transition expected to conclude toward the end of the 2026-27 season.

Al Fursan is led by Sheikh Ahmad bin Faisal Al Qasimi. During the transition, the club’s daily operations will be managed by Ofioh Sporty, with CEO Thameem Anwar and co-founder Sharath Kuniyil overseeing activities. The new management is expected to assume full responsibility for the club starting from the 2026-27 season.

In terms of football operations, Ashley Westwood has been named head coach for the 2026-27 season. The team is scheduled to begin pre-season preparations at the FC Madras facility in Mahabalipuram. The club has already begun shortlisting players and staff, with further announcements regarding new signings expected shortly.
