Kerala ministers attend strategic leadership retreat at IIM Kozhikode

The Kerala Council of Ministers has commenced a two-day residential strategic leadership retreat titled ‘Reimagining Keralam’ at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode. Led by Chief Minister V D Satheesan and including 20 cabinet ministers, the program aims to chart a new vision for the state by integrating political leadership with academic and international expertise.

Sessions at the retreat cover a wide range of critical topics, including the application of artificial intelligence in governance, healthcare and wellness positioning, climate resilience, and disaster preparedness. The program features contributions from IIM Kozhikode faculty and international scholars, such as discussions on climate adaptation lessons from Japan.

Industries Minister P K Kunhalikutty noted that the initiative is designed to improve coordination among ministers and facilitate the mutual sharing of knowledge and practical insights. The retreat focuses on how advanced technology and management skills can be utilized to enhance public service and address the future economic and social challenges facing the state.
