Kerala police arrest three men for poaching and eating a python

Three men have been arrested in the Thrissur district of Kerala for allegedly hunting, killing, and consuming a python. The suspects, identified as Jinson Jose (36), Jishnu (30), and Vivek (30), reside near Cherukunnnu in Mannamangalam.

Forest officials, led by Deputy Range Forest Officer M. Shahjahan, apprehended the individuals following a tip-off. The suspects are reported to have captured the snake, cut it into pieces, cooked it, and consumed the meat. Following their appearance in court, the three men were placed in judicial custody.

This incident follows a similar case in the Kannur district, where two individuals were recently arrested for poaching an adult python from a rubber plantation and preparing it as a curry.
