The investigation gained momentum after the earlier arrest of Safwan and Rizwan with two grams of MDMA, whose bank‑transaction forensics linked substantial payments to the teachers’ accounts. Both Keerthana and Kavya have faced disciplinary action: Keerthana, a specialist physical‑education teacher at the Perambra Block Resource Centre under Samagra Shiksha Kerala, was dismissed, while temporary teacher Kavya is slated for removal by the General Education Department.
