Kerala Police to launch monthly Appreciation Day for officers and citizens

The Kerala Police has launched a new initiative to honor police personnel and citizens for their contributions to public safety. Under this program, the fourth Saturday of every month will be observed as ‘Appreciation Day’ across all police districts in the state.

Officers will be recognized for exceptional dedication, bravery, investigative skills, or exemplary conduct. Additionally, members of the public who assist the police or contribute significantly to public safety will also receive honors. Recognition may include certificates of appreciation and mementoes.

Law and Order ADGP P. Vijayan has instructed all District Police Chiefs to organize these programs at district or unit headquarters. The initiative aims to boost officer morale and encourage greater community cooperation in policing.
