Kerala postpones State Eligibility Test amid heavy rains

Heavy rainfall across Kerala forced the General Education Department to postpone the State Eligibility Test (SET) that had been scheduled for 2 August 2026. The department said a new date will be announced later and urged candidates to monitor the official website for updates.

Mahatma Gandhi University also delayed all examinations set for 3 August, and the Kerala Public Service Commission announced that candidates from flood‑ and landslide‑affected areas would be given another opportunity to sit the exams. Authorities emphasized that the exam has not been cancelled, only rescheduled, and advised candidates to rely on official communications.
