Kerala wedding party bus overturns, injuring 35

A tourist bus carrying a wedding party overturned in the Ernakulam district of Kerala on Thursday morning. The accident occurred near Kakkoor in Koothattukulam after the driver swerved to avoid a scooter that reportedly made a sudden right turn across the road.

CCTV footage from a nearby petrol pump captured the bus crashing into a display pole at the station before overturning sideways. Approximately 35 people, including the driver, sustained injuries. While most passengers suffered minor injuries, reports indicate that four individuals were in serious condition. The injured were transported to various private hospitals in the area for treatment.

The incident has sparked online debate regarding responsibility, with some observers pointing to the scooter rider's sudden maneuver and others questioning whether the bus was traveling at an excessive speed for the road conditions. Local police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
