Kerasion Prize honors anti-mafia literature and Libritalia authors

The 2026 Kerasion Prize, held in San Pietro Apostolo, Calabria, recognized several literary works focusing on history, memory, and civic engagement.

Paola La Salvia and Vittorio Gazale shared the Kerasion – Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa award, a distinction specifically intended for works that promote anti-mafia culture, legality, and civil responsibility. La Salvia was recognized for the essay ‘I Malacarni’, while Gazale was honored for ‘Nell’interesse dello Stato – L’Isola dell’Asinara tra Parco Nazionale, brigate rosse e Cosa nostra’.

Additionally, the publisher Libritalia achieved significant success with three titles in the final selection. Two of these works, ‘Storie e Memorie di un borgo marinare’ by Antonio Lalia and ‘Eleonora’ by Luciano Prestia and Mariangela Preta, received honorable mentions. Other finalists included Raffaele Florio’s ‘Il divo Andreotti’.
