Kerim Alajbegovic's Transfer Hunt: Chelsea and Juventus Lead Bidding War

Bosnian winger Kerim Alajbegovic, who impressed at the World Cup by scoring against Qatar, is at the centre of a heated transfer saga. Bayer Leverkusen have received a €40 million package from Chelsea, with more than €30 million guaranteed and performance‑related bonuses potentially raising the fee to €40 million. The London club has also discussed a possible loan move to give the 18‑year‑old regular playing time.

Italian giants Juventus have entered the competition, raising their offer after initially hesitating on a €30 million base plus add‑ons. Juventus promises a starting place for Alajbegovic in the next season. Other clubs, including Napoli, have been linked with interest.

Alajbegovic is under contract with Leverkusen until 2031, without a release clause, after the club exercised a buy‑back option from Red Bull Salzburg. His performances this season – 13 goals and four assists – and his World Cup goal have made him one of the most coveted young talents in European football.
