Bosnia and Herzegovina defender Kerim Memija, 30, ended his five‑year spell at HŠK Zrinjski Mostar and joined Indonesian club Persija Jakarta on a two‑season contract. During his time with Zrinjski he made 183 appearances and helped the team win eight trophies – three Bosnian Premier League titles, three national cups and two super cups.

Persija announced the transfer in early July 2026, describing Memija as a “collector of three league trophies” and noting a reported fee of roughly Rp5.21 billion. In his farewell message Memija said, “I leave Mostar proud and grateful… Mostar has become my second home,” and pledged to continue fighting for titles with his new club.

Zrinjski thanked Memija for his professionalism and contributions, wishing him success in Indonesia. The move marks a notable exchange between Bosnian and Indonesian football, with Persija adding an experienced defender to bolster its back line for the upcoming Super League season.
