Kering launches luxury vocational academy for 1,500 students
Kering has launched the operational phase of the ‘Kering Accademia per le Eccellenze’ at the MIND Milan Innovation District. The initiative aims to create a national ecosystem for luxury vocational training, connecting various luxury houses with specialized educational institutions.
The program involves over 1,500 students across 40 educational tracks, spanning six Italian regions. The curriculum includes approximately 62,000 hours of training and 22,400 hours of internships, supported by more than 400 masters and professionals. Participating luxury brands include Bottega Veneta, Brioni, Gucci, Pomellato, and Kering Eyewear.
Kering CEO Luca de Meo emphasized the importance of valuing artisanal talent and manual trades, describing the business as a ‘team sport’ where every role is vital. The project seeks to address the fragmentation of the Italian production system by building a large-scale training network that can serve as a global reference point.
