Kering will host its 'Women in Motion' talk as a partnership project of the 39th Tokyo International Film Festival on October 27 at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills. The event aims to discuss the current state and future of Japanese cinema, alongside themes of diversity, gender, and creativity within the film industry.

The program features a lineup of prominent figures, including actor Kazunari Ninomiya, film producer Chieko Murata, and Amy Homma, the President and CEO of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. Director Hirokazu Kore-eda is scheduled to deliver the opening speech.

Following the discussion, the event will include a special screening of the film 'The Farewell,' directed by Lulu Wang, which explores Asian immigrant identity. Admission to the talk is free and limited to 60 attendees via a lottery system.
