Kerman inaugurates advanced nuclear medicine imaging center

A new advanced nuclear medicine imaging center, featuring PET scan technology, has been inaugurated in Kerman Province. The facility was established through the participation of local charities and economic enterprises.

The center covers 1.6 hectares with a built-up area of approximately 5,000 square meters. It is expected to serve cancer patients in the southeast region and neighboring provinces, reducing the need for residents to travel to other parts of the country for specialized diagnostic imaging. This facility is noted as the third charitable center of its kind in Iran and will serve as a site for producing radiopharmaceuticals such as FDG.

Kerman Governor Mohammad Ali Talebi emphasized that the province aims to become a national model for charitable involvement in healthcare. He stated that the province's goal is to provide superior medical services and leverage its geographic location and medical expertise to become a destination for health tourism.
