Ephemera Games announces Kernel Hearts release and Fortnite collaboration

Ephemera Games, an Argentinian studio, has announced the release of its action RPG, Kernel Hearts, scheduled for September 17, 2026. The game will be available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.

In a significant milestone for the Latin American gaming industry, Ephemera Games is the first studio from the region to participate in an Epic Games Store program that utilizes Fortnite to reach wider audiences. As part of this collaboration, players who pre-purchase Kernel Hearts through the Epic Games Store will receive an exclusive Fernet outfit in Fortnite. This outfit will later be available for individual purchase in the Fortnite Item Shop starting September 26, 2026.

Kernel Hearts features roguelike and action RPG elements, where players control the M. A. H. O. U. Unit to climb the Tower of Babel. The game supports single-player and up to four-player cooperative modes.
