Kessler twins would have celebrated 90th birthday

The world-renowned Kessler twins, Alice and Ellen, would have celebrated their 90th birthday on August 20. Born in Saxony, Germany, in 1936, the sisters became international showgirls and entertainers, famous for their synchronized dancing and long-legged performances.

Their career breakthrough occurred in 1955 at the Palladium revue theater in Düsseldorf, which led to their discovery by the director of the famous Lido in Paris. Their success spanned the globe, including performances in Italy and the United States, where they shared the stage with stars such as Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.

Despite a difficult childhood marked by family instability, the twins remained inseparable throughout their lives and professional careers. They passed away together in 2025 in Grünwald near Munich.
