Kestel Municipality hosts traditional circumcision festival

Kestel Municipality held its traditional circumcision festival at the Kestel Amphitheater, an event that has become a long-standing local tradition. The celebration brought together children, their families, and local officials to mark the occasion.

The program included a convoy of families and children traveling from Kestel Square to the amphitheater following prayers at the Vani Mehmet Mosque. The festivities featured a performance by a Mehter band. Kestel Mayor Ferhat Erol and District Governor Emre Zeyrek attended the event, interacting with the children and presenting them with gifts. Mayor Erol noted that the circumcisions were performed under safe and hygienic conditions at the Kestel State Hospital.
