Keszthely concert series cancelled due to weather safety concerns

The Nyárbúcsú concert series, scheduled to take place from August 17–19 at the Keszthely City Sports Complex, has been cancelled by organizers. The decision was made by FanaticEvent Produkciós Iroda due to safety concerns regarding weather conditions.

Organizers noted that following a period of extreme drought, weather forecasts predict significant precipitation for the upcoming week. Because the venue is located on marshy ground, there is a high risk that the soil will become unstable and waterlogged. This instability poses a threat to the safe assembly and dismantling of the stage and technical equipment.

The cancellation affects several performers, including the rapper Majka, Horváth Tamás, and Beton. Hofi. While Majka recently cancelled other performances due to health issues, including a severe throat infection, this specific cancellation in Keszthely is due to the environmental and technical safety risks posed by the predicted rain.
