Kettle Cuisine recalls Walmart soup kits over Listeria concerns
Kettle Cuisine has issued a recall for its Marketside Tomato Bisque Soup Kit due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recall follows routine company testing that produced a presumptive positive result for the bacteria.
The affected product was distributed to select Walmart stores across 29 U.S. states between June 30, 2026, and July 7, 2026. The recalled kits are packaged in wrapped trays and bear a use-by code of August 22, 2026.
Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious or fatal infections, particularly in young children, the elderly, and individuals with weakened immune systems. In pregnant women, the infection can lead to miscarriage or stillbirth. The company is currently investigating the matter in coordination with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
