Ketty Garat named herald for Ferrol Holy Week 2027

Journalist Enriqueta Garat Loureiro, widely known as Ketty Garat, has been selected as the herald for the 2027 Holy Week in Ferrol. The event, which is recognized as being of International Tourist Interest, is scheduled to take place from March 21 to March 28, 2027.

The official proclamation will be held on March 13 at 7:00 PM at the Jofre Theater. Garat is a Ferrol native currently based in Madrid, where she serves as an assistant director in the investigative area for the newspaper ABC. Her career includes work with Libertad Digital, esRadio, and The Objective, with a focus on parliamentary and political reporting.

She is an author of two books and has received the 2025 APM Best Journalist award from the Madrid Press Association, as well as the Encarna Sánchez Communication Award from the Spanish Academy of Radio.
