Kevhaunne Williams charged with kidnap and murder in Essex

Kevhaunne Williams, 26, appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court facing charges of kidnap and murder following the death of 21-year-old Jack Sullivan. Sullivan was allegedly kidnapped from Waltham Abbey on June 22 and later discovered seriously injured in a car park in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. He died in the hospital on June 26.

Prosecutor Peter Gair stated that the provisional medical cause of death was a head injury. Williams has been remanded in custody until a plea hearing scheduled for October 16. A provisional trial date has been set for March 1, with an estimated duration of three weeks.

Essex Police noted that the investigation is ongoing. A 24-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy from London remain on conditional bail. Detectives have also issued an appeal for assistance in locating Sullivan’s blue Louis Vuitton trainers, valued at approximately £1,000.
