Kevin Akpoguma signs with Serie A side Frosinone

German‑Nigerian defender Kevin Akpoguma, 31, has completed his medical and sealed a free‑transfer move from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim to newly promoted Serie A club Frosinone Calcio. The defender signed a contract running until 30 June 2028, marking his first appearance in Italy’s top flight after 13 seasons in the Bundesliga.

Akpoguma, who previously spent time on loan at Fortuna Düsseldorf and Hannover 96 and earned 179 Bundesliga caps, will bolster Frosinone’s back line under coach Massimiliano Alvini. The club announced the signing as a key defensive reinforcement as it prepares to compete in the league for the fourth time.
