Actors Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick are celebrating 38 years of marriage. The couple, who married on September 4, 1988, marked the milestone with a canoeing trip, which Sedgwick shared on social media.

The pair first met on the set of the production ‘Lemon Sky’. Sedgwick has noted that while she was highly ambitious and independent in her early twenties, meeting Bacon changed her perspective on marriage and family. They held a private ceremony in Connecticut followed by a large reception in Manhattan.
