Dominican authorities have arrested four suspects in connection with the fatal assault at the residence of merenguero Julián Oro Duro in Santo Domingo Este. The attack resulted in the death of his wife, Zeneida Socorro Castillo, and left the artist injured.

The suspects identified are Phillips Michael Tejeda Vásquez, Juan Carlos Hernández García, Kevin Dariel Germán Troncoso, and Lawrence Mark Liranzo Marcos. Investigations revealed that some of the individuals had professional or personal ties to the family; for instance, Tejeda Vásquez had performed maintenance work at the property and occasionally accompanied the artist to events.

During police raids, authorities recovered approximately US$33,690 and RD$196,500 in cash, along with luxury items including Rolex and Cardo watches, gold chains, a Louis Vuitton bag, and a motorcycle used during the crime. Reports indicate that Castillo had prepared food and drinks for the individuals before the violence erupted.

Julián Oro Duro is currently recovering in a medical center following surgery for eye injuries sustained during the incident. His legal representative stated that the artist is physically stable but emotionally devastated.
