Napoli eyes summer signings as Lukaku departure looms and De Bruyne’s role expands
SSC Napoli, under new coach Massimiliano Allegri, is shaping its squad for the upcoming Serie A season. The club is actively monitoring the market, aiming to strengthen the roster while also reducing the wage bill. Central to the plan is Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, who has been confirmed as a key figure in Allegri’s project and may be used in varied tactical roles. At the same time, striker Romelu Lukaku has not reported to the pre‑season camp in Castel di Sangro, prompting reports that a transfer is imminent. Interest has emerged from MLS clubs such as Atlanta United, from Turkish side Trabzonspor, and from Saudi interests, with a price tag around €10‑12 million being discussed. The club is also preparing for possible departures of other attackers, including forward Andrea Lang, who has attracted attention from Ajax. Additionally, Napoli is evaluating a potential move for young right‑back Favasuli, with Sporting Lisbon showing serious interest. Director Giovanni Manna is working to balance outgoing and incoming deals to give Allegri a competitive squad for the centenary season.
