Kevin De Bruyne linked to MLS move amid Napoli contract uncertainty

Kevin De Bruyne may be heading to Major League Soccer as Napoli reportedly does not intend to exercise the final year of his contract. While the 35-year-old midfielder is currently under contract until June 2027, reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport suggest the Italian club may not activate an additional option year, potentially leading to his departure after two seasons.

San Diego FC has emerged as a primary suitor, monitoring the Belgian international's situation. Discussions between the clubs could begin as early as January, with Napoli reportedly seeking a transfer fee of approximately 8 million euros to facilitate a move to the United States.

On the pitch, De Bruyne remains a key contributor for Napoli. In a recent Serie A match against Monza, he entered as a substitute in the 63rd minute and scored a goal following an assist from Noa Lang, helping Napoli secure a 1-4 victory and move into sixth place in the league standings.
