Kevin De Bruyne shines for Belgium amid Napoli tactical debates

Napoli players Kevin De Bruyne and Antonio Vergara have delivered standout performances during the international break. De Bruyne recorded a spectacular brace in Belgium’s 3-0 victory over Turkey, showcasing high-level form that has reignited discussions regarding his role under Napoli manager Massimiliano Allegri. While De Bruyne is performing at an elite level for the Belgian national team, his tactical application at Napoli remains a subject of debate, with some analysts suggesting the team should be structured to better support his playmaking.

Despite his recent success, De Bruyne will miss Belgium’s upcoming Nations League match against France due to a suspension resulting from accumulated yellow cards. He has chosen to remain with the Belgian squad in Paris to support the team rather than returning to Italy early. This decision means his return to Napoli will be slightly delayed.

Additionally, Napoli faces tactical decisions for their upcoming domestic fixture against Frosinone, as Allegri must decide how to integrate the returning international players. The club is also monitoring the fitness of Scott McTominay, who awaits medical clearance following a recent heart procedure.
